Book 2 coming to Amazon this summer. This week’s excerpt. Enjoy!
Rex froze and was staring directly at the opening. A low, menacing growl was coming from somewhere deep in the massive chest of the dog. His ears had flattened back against his head and a ridge was running from the nape of his neck to the end of his tail which was standing straight out behind him. Rex crouched, which made him look a little crablike and was moving sideways out of the direct line of the opening. Gib felt an undefinable awareness that made the hair prickle on the back of his neck. And try as he might he couldn’t tell what it was about this thing that was spooking him. He just had a feeling that there was something waiting behind that plane of light. It was huge and hungry. It could see them and it was waiting.
