So yesterday someone I know to be a sweet dear person was flamed on the internet. This person whom I know loves people of all colors and creeds was told how she never escaped the racist privileged upbringing she had as a child.
These words were delivered to a woman who worked for every single cent she ever had. She raised children and always tried to do the right thing for those around her whether anyone was looking or not. This was always, without regard for the color of the others skin.
She received these false and daresay I, evil, accusations from several supposed friends on a certain social media platform I won’t grace with a name.
I have a few things I’d like to get off my chest.
First, I grew up in a back area in the mountains and my earliest memories are of the smell of carbide in a miners lamp and having to use an outhouse at night in the winter. I don’t want to hear about being privileged.
Second, At the age of 18 I joined the United States Navy, whereupon I took an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I retook that same oath periodically for the next twenty years.
It made me almost weep whenever I saw someone burn my flag. The Ensign I saluted every time I came aboard my ship or unit. The one that flew over me and my young shipmates whenever we sailed into harms way to defend the right to burn that same flag. We grew to manhood, all of us, with the understanding there would always be many who wished to take the right to burn that flag. We would stand firm to defend those rights.
That oath never expired. I still have the same expectations for my behavior as I did the first time I took that oath.
I believe you judge another based upon the content of character. Period. I don’t expect anyone to look like, or be, like me and that’s OK. I still love people even if they don’t look like me.
Third, and I mean this sincerely from the bottom of my heart. Rest assured I will give my last breath believing in the actions I take to live this in my life. I will defend my country when necessary. I will live my life as a free citizen and I will ensure that I follow the orders of those appointed over me. I will adhere to the Constitution of the Unites States and the Uniform Code of Military justice, by which I am still bound by oath.
Fourth, Plato said “The people always have some champion whom they set over them and nurse into greatness… This and no other is the root from which a tyrant springs; when he first appears he is a protector.”
To all my friends who may not have the same worldview as I, please take a moment to consider the following.
Remember the names, Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, Pol Pot.
Let us not forget Hirohito, The Emperor of Japan. (In his name the Japanese military raped, tortured, and murdered tens of millions of Asian civilians.) This is fact, although, there have been efforts to revise the history.
These are the names of men who were ABSOLUTELY CONVINCED they were doing what the moral high ground required of them.
If you are reading this you should know there is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, trying to destroy this country, the constitution that governs us, and the rule of law by which we have a true civilization.
You want to be woke? Seek wisdom.
Read Thomas Sowell. Hell, If you don’t read, watch a couple of his videos on youtube. He’s a brilliant man. A man of character. A man of honor. A learned man.
Learn how the elite liberal left is enslaving millions and is striving with all their might to keep millions in inner cities enslaved. The true narrative will horrify you.
You want to be woke? Go ahead. I dare you. Don’t allow yourself to be made to spout what the elite want you to repeat as told. Two plus two is five.
And remember, even though I love you and will give you food and care as my brother or sister, even though I will edify you and your issue that you might be greater than your fathers before you, I too am a free man. If you think to take my God given rights from me, or my brothers and sisters, remember always this, Don’t tread on me.
Lee, Please do keep blogging, for two or more reasons! #1 is a selfish one, because it’s an encouragement to the rest of us who blog, makes us think how we can better our own blogs and makes us more apt to do it and #2. for yourself, because blogging often keeps the brain machinery oiled and fingers limber enough to write other things (your books!) #3, because I enjoy your blog and I will feature it on my page as often as I can. Thank you so much my friend. All the best to you, Nancy
